Kurzbiographie
Joe Peacock is a writer. He currently writes for AOLNews and maintains a moderately-well-read blog. He has written two books, Mentally Incontinent (2005) and Mentally Incontinent (2009). They are completely different books. He thought he was clever; naming his books the way Seal named his first two albums. This was not clever. It was confusing, and he will never do it again. You can read both books for free if you wish. The first one is on Google Books, and the second one is available on MentallyIncontinent.com (or, you can buy it on Amazon.com). He also writes notes to himself every single day. You can read them if you want.

Joe owns the world's largest private collection of production art from the film Akira. He's currently exhibiting selections from his collection with ToonSeum in Pittsburgh. This is the reason why. He just talked at Pixar about the Art of Akira, and that was very neat.

Joe just taught the internet how to write, publish and sell a book. This comes on the heels of teaching the internet how to fist-fight. Believe it or not, the two are not dissimilar. Other things that Joe has taught the internet: How To Get A Decent Tattoo, How To Talk To Atheists (If You're Christian), Why Men Fist-Bump and How To Work Out. Rezensionen

For those who enjoy cyberpunk, dystopian sci-fi, Marlowe Kana is fast-paced and action-oriented, with a healthy dose of snarky humor. Author Joe Peacock creates a future world that is both disturbing and exhilarating, populated with colorful characters who engage in snappy dialogue that mirrors the pace of the book. A strong, smart female lead is appreciated. I look forward to reading the additional volumes.

I really wanted this to be funnier, but it just didn't tickle my funny bone much at all. Oh well, maybe it's just me.

Read this one in a couple of evenings and found it enjoyable but not particularly memorable. I expected more hilarity; instead, there were some downright sad stories and a few about escapades I found it difficult to empathize with, with little that made me laugh. It sounds like Peacock was a holy terror in his youth and I'm at the point in my life when I feel more solidarity with the long-suffering parents than the rowdy kids ;) At least it gives me hope that even delinquents can find their way to a meaningful life!… (mehr)
