Although as an artist believe that this brief work offers an exceptional introduction to those interesting in applied colour theory in general. Especially for those whose learning style is more pragmatic and hands-on.

I love the glossy way the pages feel and the many pictures and examples you are given. The one thing I've always struggled with (and the ladies at the quilt store always have to help me with) is figuring out which materials go together well. If that's your issue, this is the book for you. I learned so much and really appreciate this book!!

I actually found this book very hard to understand and really wordy. I was expecting a book on how to "scheme" your colors for quilts, that's not exactly what this was.
It was more like reading a book on how everyone else's color technique is indescribably horrid. Reading the content I felt like I could never reach her level of mastery.
Not to mention that her color choices were strange and confusing. She described the right way to choose colors and then did the exact opposite in some but NOT all of her "pre-views".
All in all it was NOT a book I would have added to my "growing" collection of quilt, crochet, & craft literature. It just doesn't fit in any way with what I'm used to seeing from a quilt expert.… (mehr)
