This picture book is about a sister's feelings for her brother with autism, showing the ups and downs of their family life. It's a good read for kids in intermediate grades, teaching them that people are more than just their diagnosis.
This is a sweet picture book about a sisters emotions towards her brother with autism. Shows a good family relationship and real struggles of autistic people. I could see myself reading this when illustrating different family relationships for kinder and above.
This is a great book for children in intermediate grades. This is a great book to show that there is more to a person then there diagnosis. This is a way to show the students that just because they have a diagnosis of autism doesn't mean that they are less of a person they are amazing.
Picture book about a twin sister and brother. The brother Charlie, has autism and it goes through how the family deals with it and learns all the different ways that he shows love and excels at life.
I thought this book was cute. It shows really good examples of ways that autistic children shine and how they show their strengths. I think I would have this book in my classroom. I'm not sure how I would use it in a lesson because it's not from the perspective of an autistic person. But, still helpful to have. I would have this book for K-2.… (mehr)
