I received this book as a Library Thing Early Reviewer.

This is a charming book with stories about folks who found love late in life. I loved reading the stories, but my one complaint was WRITE MORE. Each story seemed too short, I would have loved to have gotten more meat. I guess this is why I'm more a fan of novels than short stories.

I received this book in a LibraryThing giveaway.

I fell in love and married for the first (and hopefully) only time when I was in my forties. I had pretty much given up on meeting someone, so it was a big surprise to me when I found my husband-to-be, pretty much right under my nose. For a long time I had to endure the "So when will you get married" question from friends and relatives and acquaintances (near and not-so-near), so I know something about finding love after everyone else has come to believe I was going to be single forever.

I guess this explains, in part, why I was attracted to this book (via its description). Most of the stories in this book are about people who were married or who had partners who died or whom they divorced. That did not make the book any less interesting or pertinent to my situation. In fact, I thought that many of the stories were quite relevant, and the people in them strike me as courageous with their open hearts.

I found it a very optimistic book; I enjoyed the personal stories very much. I also enjoyed the author's discussion of her own courtship with her husband Sam.

I appreciated that the author did not surgarcoat love late in life. There can be some challenges, and not everyone is up to owning them. But even in those stories, I felt that the people in the stories, particularly the women, learned something about themselves and found ways to be authentic in their choices. I think the subtitle "the wisdom of unexpected romance" to be quite appropriate.

A very interesting and insightful collection of stories about people who found love later in life, after retirement. Nice light reading.

I am a Senior Splitter and until I read Love, Again finding love again at the age of 66 years old was only a dream. Eve Pell experienced first hand of marrying the love of her life in her 70's. She interviewed couples of different backgrounds and sexual orientation to give promised to those readers who can dream of finding love as a Senior. Pell is very honest with her readers and writes the pro's and con's of falling in love in your Golden years. Honesty is very important in late years love along with kindness and a sense of humor....most importantly we can enjoy a sex life. I do recommend this book as guide to finding love in your 60's and beyond.… (mehr)
