very contemplative as well as comprehensive--if you enjoy woodcraft (and the technical aspects of using this cut of wood vs. that one) this is for you; if you are just curious about the history of handmade things this is also pretty neat; I am enjoying the thoughtfulness of the author's writing style and the sentiment of appreciating trees and wood more than we have been wont to do.… (mehr)
