This is a young family field guide. This book is meant for a family to take outside as they go for a hike. It has great animal habitats information and predator and prey relationships and ecosystems and life zones information. I picked up this book for our family to take to Yellowstone National Park and we always grab it when we take trips to the mountains. It is organized in a way that would make it great for 7th grade life science. It is multiculturally interesting because of the variety of animals there is a favorite for everyone.
