An ambitious book that tackles themes of marriage, religion, crime and punishment. At the end of he book, I wasn't completely convinced that he book did so successfully and/or I wasn't certain the resolution the protagonist made of these issues. In many respects, this novel is close in sensibility to many of the Swedish mysteries in that the. Entrap thrust of the book concerns unravelling the main character as opposed to the subject crime. This book is profound in its efforts, even it falls a little short of classic. The best compliment I can offer is that the characters had me absorbed throughout.… (mehr)
