This children's story transports you to an alternate world full of magical flora and fauna; ruled over by a beautiful Queen and Princess; and of course, the heroine of the story: Queen Ozette, an exquisite white squirrel chosen by all the inhabitants of the region to reign over Farlandia. She came from Earth World but was sent to Farlandia by her grandmother, an important force in the story; to meet her destiny.

Farlandia is facing a crisis with the potential to destroy their beautiful, natural, non-violent world. Queen Ozette and her close-knit group of family, friends and all Farlandia inhabitants must find a way to rise and meet the challenge to save their world.

Along the way, there are wonderful lessons to be learned such as respecting nature, with non-violence being a key theme.

At the end of the book is a section of absolutely delicious sounding and very cutely named nutritional recipes for all kinds of goodies and main dishes, too.

This was the second book in this series. I have not read the first book, but was able to thoroughly enjoy this one that I received via Library Thing Early Reviewers on its own merit.… (mehr)
