Very honest and difficult life as an addict seeking help memoir. There truly is not a one-size-fits-all path to sobriety, and my heart goes out to anyone and everyone who suffers to find the light-and keep it on.

I received this book quite a while back and somehow got stuck such that I was not able to get into it; I was delaying doing my review until I managed to get into it, but somehow I have not been able to go back to it. I read a lot of memoirs, though, and that this one didn't grab me indicates that it was probably not my cup of tea.

Interesting story about addiction and recovery.

I really liked this book, and found it to be one of the best addiction and recovery memoirs I've read. That said, book jacket and synopsis of the book made it sound like it would be a book about recovery and the recovery process. It is not. It is a memoir.
