John Powell holds a master's degree in music composition and a phd in physics; and he has taught musical acoustics at sheffield University and physics at the Universities of Nottingham and Lulea (Sweden) He lives in England.

Fun and informative, but not technical enough for this scientist / person who can read music and sort of play several instruments.
Not very good. Informative at first, but then got so detailed that it became useless without devoting a significant amount of time.
A good, somewhat humorous but rather dry summary of how music can trigger emotions.
Somewhat informative but written in a very verbose, "witty" way, with lots of jokes, tangents and unrelated trivia. Hard to stomach.
