I don't understand the appeal of watching someone stand around sadly while being bullet proof and occasionally murder somebody.

A robot manufacturer's murder involves robots, maybe.

2.5/4 (Okay).

Reasonably entertaining. The action scenes aren't great, and I am really not a fan of the nobody-believes-the-protagonist trope.

Dark City (Director's Cut) von Trevor Jones
Memorable and atmospheric film foreshadows The Matrix in some ways and makes me wonder how much the Wachowskis stole from this film. This is a science fiction film noir that not only has a unique atmosphere, but has a great cast to go along with it. Talking about the plot would be pointless; this should just be experienced, like a Raymond Chandler novel.
