For anyone and everyone who owns one of these incredibly clever and complicated devices and does not have a resident teenager, I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Filled with clear instructions, with copious photographs of screen shots to make clear the narrative. The book comprehensively explains what the device (for they are much more than just a mobile phone) can do.

From setting up and customising, through logging on to email and the internet, to making sure your security and privacy are maintained, this book will explain it all in easily understood language and pictures. There is a handy running thread that explains the advantages or otherwise, of some of the many thousands of apps that can also be downloaded to enhance the phone even further. The camera section is also very thorough – the inbuilt lenses (both front and back) and attached software, give more versatile and manipulable pictures than even David Bailey was able to produce.

Although very USA centric in regard to the screen shots, it is written in English-English and therefore easier to read – this side of the pond. A useful book and well worth the money.… (mehr)
