A really cute idea that doesn't quite live up to its potential. I love the idea of hero cats saving the day under the radar while the human superheroes get all the glory. It's unique, fun, and something I could really get behind. Unfortunately, the storytelling left me very frustrated.

The first issue of this volume was a bit indicative of how the rest of the series would go. It jumped around a lot, trying to introduce all the characters but at the same time giving me glimpses of other characters/potential plot points that were just left unfinished and dangling. There were also a few points where I was confused and even re-reading, I couldn't be 100% certain I knew what had happened.

And really, that was the volume as a whole. It was extremely episodic, to the point where I had to question whether the creators had an overarching storyline in mind. Most of the plotlines relied more on whimsy and cute to carry forward, and I really wanted something a bit meatier. And again, there were a few points where it just wasn't clear how something progressed.

Maybe the creative team will find their footing and really come into their own. There was a lot potential here, and I loved the artwork. I do hope that this series gets better.

I was hoping this volume would be better than volume one, but it’s just about on par quality-wise. Still great art, cute stories, fun adventures, and (of course) cats with super powers. Unfortunately, some of the little things that bothered me in the first volume are more glaring in this volume, like the sudden high stakes situations, abrupt and disjointed story jumps, and completely nonsensical situations.

Usually new stories that have a few rough spots in the beginning really pick up in the second volume, but this one was disappointing. Certainly it’s still fine for the younger audience who have that marvelous ability to stretch their imaginations and suspend their disbelief, but for those looking for more depth and comprehensible reasoning, this isn’t the way to go.… (mehr)

I had higher hopes for this - the art is so incredibly cute! I expected the story to be more along the lines of Beasts of Burden, if much less dark and with superheroes. But the plot is disjointed and had a very random feel to it, and the writing is choppy.
