4 Stars because I think it was exactly what it set out to be - inventive and ridiculous. I've never played Lamentations of the Flame Princess, but I can't say I'm not interested. The few books of their's that I've picked up have always been interesting and fun to read.

This is basically a list of a bunch of spells that are so powerful that they sometimes effect the entire planet (or beyond). It's got me thinking that I might want to create a kind of "no holds barred" campaign for D&D where I'm not afraid to let magic hugely change things.

Though the spells themselves were interesting and mostly really original, the miscasts were the real fun. I found myself laughing out loud (actually, not through text) while reading them.

LotFP basically does for RPGs what the Authority did for comics. If LotFP had a volume knob it would go up to infinity.… (mehr)
