Not great literature but interesting historical insight on the battle of "our" land between England and Ireland and on how "hell-like' Hells Kitchen in Nyc was like for immigrants in the the early 1900's. Overall this book didn't excite me.

A boy who was of an Irish mother and English father who grew up on a large and wealthy estate in central England. After hi s father dissapears and his mother dies he and his older sister are sent up to his uncle's farm in Ireland where everyone would kill the English if they could. The boy runs in to many problems and then faces the ultimate test when his uncle decides to move all of them to America.… (mehr)
