(If you want to read my other two reviews to see where my heads at, go read those and come back). Okay my complaints about h then the H in last two- resolved. Although the characters both went through trauma events, they didn't do the push away to annoying thingy.

This is a hard series for me to grade. If I based it on writing style, story telling ability, this last book is a solid 5 stars. if I based on suspense/mystery, again 5 stars. However, erotic literature a 4, romance lit a 4.25. Really there were hot scenes, but not at all at erotic lit frequency. I mean this is a great roller coaster, what the heck are these characters going to go thru next book, but not a romance steamy roller coaster. You've been warned - so no bad reviews cause not what you thought it was going to be.

With that said, yes definitely I would buy other books by this author as she writes a great tale.… (mehr)

I loved this book!! I must admit, I was a teensy bit wary of this book. This is the first one I have read courtesy of budget bookworm, it's an author unknown to me and the book was 458 pages and I am not a fan of silly romances. Well colour me surprised, this was a fantastic book. The characters and dialogue were real, no silly romance at all. There is plenty of laughs, but there is betrayal, suspense and danger, some a little implausible perhaps but I would love to see this book made into a movie.
When Lily's no good husband dies in a car accident, she thinks she is supposed to feel sadness when the biggest emotion she feels is relief. Enter Gavin, the husband of the famous woman in the other car who was also killed. Definitely not the best set up for a romance, especially since their spouses are barely cold, but due to the peril surrounding her husband's death, they are thrown together for days and despite themselves, they find themselves attracted to each other. They were both in disastrous marriages, why not find happiness where you can?
I loved these characters. Lily, while not always the brightest crayon in the box, is feisty, enchanting and so much fun, I laughed out loud over her smart mouth and sarcasm, even when her outcome wasn't looking great. I would love Em to be my friend, and Max too and while Gavin was the one who had Lily's heart, part of me did wish she would find her way to Max, I found him more likeable.
While this book could perhaps have been a little shorter, it's a fast read and I found myself flying through it. And I liked it so much, as soon as I finished it, I instantly went onto Amazon and purchased the second part of Gavin and Lily's story.… (mehr)
