Silverware of the 20th Century: The Top 250 Patterns von Harry L. Rinker
No, this doesn't match the scope of the Jewelers' Circular/Keystone Sterling Flatware Pattern Index. But it also covers a goodly number of antique and vintage flatware patterns in silver plate and provides fascinating insights into the manufacturers -- who bought out whom, when the names changed, which "Rogers" company you're looking for, and more. It's also much more affordable than the jewelers' publication, and has lists of what patterns in various design styles have retained their popularity. Great fun!… (mehr)
I learned some new things, but wouldn't recommend this book. It was not well written
