Kurzbiographie
Jacqueline Rohrbach is a 36-year-old creative writer living in windy central Washington. When she isn’t writing strange books about bloodsucking magical werewolves, she’s baking sweets, or walking her two dogs, Nibbler and Mulder. She also loves cheesy ghost shows, especially when the hosts call out the ghost out like he wants to brawl with it in a bar. You know, “Come out here, you coward! You like to haunt little kids. Haunt me!” Jackee laughs at this EVERY time.

She’s also a hopeless World of Warcraft addict. In her heyday, she was a top parsing disc priest. She became a paladin to fight Deathwing, she went back to a priest to cuddle pandas, and then she went to a shaman because I guess she thought it would be fun to spend an entire expansion underpowered and frustrated. Boomchicken for Legion!

A fun, short Halloween spook story.

I received a review copy of this book from NetGalley. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a unique, queer and trans affirming, fantasy. It is extremely well-written and unique, and the plotline is more unusual and epic than I originally anticipated. At a later date, I will review this book more fully on my blog at www.booksbeyondbinaries.blog

Overall Opinion:
After reading "Parallel Larry" blurb, I was immediately drawn in by the second chance romance that feature the main character being sent to an alternate reality, which later mentioned, by his fire hazardous toaster. It was an interesting concept in general yet there were too many factors that made this a disappointing read. it was lacking in any unbelievable form of romance and the characters did not mesh well together, in my opinion. Larry was overall somewhat likable and Greg was just too bland for my taste, making it an unlikely pair. Moreso this book was a bit bizarre and was the complete opposite of what I envisioned this novel will be so it ended up failing to meet any of my expectations.

“The Dragon's Rebel” was enjoyable and I could care less for “Parallel Larry”, so stepping into this read I already knew it could be a hit or miss. Thankfully it was a hit.

“Come On, Get Lucky” is about a werewolf, Grant, who is a hopeless romantic that had his fair of bad luck when it comes to romance and his snarky vampire best friend, Lee, who decides to take him with him to a vampire clan retreat where all supernatural and non-supernatural beings are welcome. It’s essentially a spot where they can hook up with other beings and not have to worry about commitments or drama.

Overall it was a fun, banter-filled read that had aspects of romance, hot chemistry, ex-boyfriends, and a runaway bunny (hence cover).
