I received this book as a gift from the author, to read and review.
After crash landing on an uninhabited planet, an alien wakes up two million years later to modern day Earth. His ship retained an imprint of itself and its pilot, so began to rebuild both. One critical element can only be found in a skull cap created from a meteor, encasing the brain of an Iraq war vet ,bonded to him and slowly poisoning him. The two must work together to keep military from snatching them or killing them while they solve the removal of the cap without death resulting. The ending was the problem. How did ship find its way to Earth without AI? Why send a message without insuring it will get to its intended target? Always Hive was about totally destroying other ships, why not now? I get the need to write the next volume but very awkward.… (mehr)
