The book follows a group of college kids trying to solve a murder. These students (who didn’t previously know each other) are brought together to solve a cold case by an unknown outsider, (who is another mystery in itself.) The diverse group is reminiscent of The Breakfast Club. They bond with one another and thrive on their new-found purpose. Along the way they discover and solve more crimes. But alas, not everything is resolved in the end, giving us something for the next book in the series.
The plot was layered and interesting enough and it was nice to see the characters’ fondness and support for one another develop. But I really didn’t get a good sense of some of them or where they were at, so characterization and setting are not the author’s strong points. It’s been a week since

A modern Pride and Prejudice variation in he story of Charlotte Lucas (baker) and William Collins (parson) living in the town of Meryton where they are friends with the co-owners of Meryton Matchmakers - the Bennet sisters. Unfortunately for Jane and Elizabeth, an investor in their company is Lady Catherine de Bourgh and when trouble occurs she arrives with her family - Anne, the Colonel and Darcy with his lawyer Bingley.
Nnot usually a genre I like but this was a very enjoyable read, I liked the story and style of writing was very easy to read.… (mehr)
