Stacy and Lydia return from summer camp, stoked about their new fashion look and looking forward to sharing it with best friend Kelly as well as getting an in with The Chicas, a trio of “it” girls at school. But life doesn’t go as planned: their fashion look is all wrong, Kelly alone seems to have been fully accepted into The Chicas’ fold, and worse, Stacy and Lydia have been snubbed for invitations to Eben’s bar mitzvah, the party of the year. They scheme to get invites to the party by recreating good times with Kelly, brownnosing The Chicas, and finally, outright crashing the party with socially disastrous results. I enjoyed this book. The story line is something I have not read before. So, it was intresting to read the book and learn about diffrent things that I did not know.

I would recommed this book to young adult readers, because this is a young adult book.

Personally, I SO did NOT like this book^^. It has humor, which is a plus, but the storyline is overdramatic and unrealistic. I absolutely do not recommend for any parent to read this. It will likely give them a very wrong impression. And thats it. =)

Hilarious.! Stacy's little brother is getting beat up at school, her parent's separation has devastated her mother, and her big crush and her best friend are awfully cozy. Stacy's on her own, with three mitzvah's to perform before the biggest day of her life - her bat mitzvah.
This was a little predictable, but by the end I was laughing out loud. And it's nice to have a good tween Jewish main character. I'd give this to Princess Diary fans, or girls looking for funny stories.
