The Fur Trader von Sam Ferguson
I read a lot of fantasy, but this one sounded like fun - a cross between a mountain man story and magic. I liked the characters and the wildlife. I will definitely read the next one.
Adequate young adult fantasy.
Older readers may find the world a bit generic, or that the hero has a tendency to sprout talents and powers as convenient to overcome the latest hurdle that makes most challenges feel fairly fleeting or unthreatening.
