What started out as having a lot of potential sputtered out in parts. The beginning of the story had me riveted but then slowly became repetitive. The first part of the book was over a long time period and then everything went at warp speed. The ending had me trying to click for more pages. I was confused and befuddled trying to understand how this was what the ending was.
I still appreciate this author and her dedication to her craft. I just wanted so much more for this book.… (mehr)

This book left more than a little to be desired for me. Juliet was a decent read, but in my opinion, could have been cut down a lot. It felt like there were a lot of circles that could have been taken out. I would have liked to have seen more depth for the characters. It was well written overall, but couldn’t keep my attention for the full 700 pages. That is a LOT of reading for a story that just didn’t catch me and hold me in the beginning. I expected more BDSM and the scenes were very mild. That could have been what tossed it for me. I would still recommend this series though.… (mehr)

This was much different than I was expecting. At times, I struggled to follow along with the storyline but at the same time there was something about the story that kept me invested. That is the mark of a good storyteller and the reason I'm rounding up to four stars.
