(I received an early reviewers copy from the publisher). Good book as an introduction for women and all to learn about women's sexuality. No earth shattering new revelations but a solid start into an important topic.

I never did receive the LibraryThing Early Reviewer Copy of this book. As a woman with a disability "down there" I was hopeful that getting a little treasure like this would be helpful to me so I waited. And waited. And waited some more. And then I got an email suggesting that I hadn't done my due diligence around receiving this book and then reviewing it, which was a disappointment as I had been waiting as most women do for little reward. Eventually, as many women do, I took matters into my own hands - as it were - and purchased a copy of a similar but different book for myself that seems more on target with my particular needs. I am disappointed not to have received this book, and now more so for comparison.… (mehr)

I highly recommend this accessible and informative book. Coming Soon seeks to help women experience better orgasms by increasing their familiarity with their own bodies, and with vaginal penetration in particular. Schiftan is a skillful writer who provides practical steps and exercises to help readers expand their sexual arousal and range, in clear and concise prose that doesn't belabor her points and avoids descending into either technical jargon or cloying "You got this, girl!" informality. The tone is encouraging, realistic, and nonjudgmental while being clear-eyed about potential setbacks or unexpected outcomes readers may encounter while trying to introduce new techniques to their sexual repertoire. Although Schiftan's focus is on vaginal penetration as a means to orgasm, she pays attention to solo sex as well as sex with male and female partners, and the different considerations involved with each. It's an all-around excellently written book that accomplishes what it sets out to do in enjoyable, straightforward terms, and one I definitely recommend.… (mehr)

I received a copy of this book as a part of LibraryThing's Early Reviewers group.

The focus of this book is primarily on finding new/increased pleasure through vaginal penetration. That said, it does not solely focus on sex between a cis man and a cis woman, and it also addresses other forms of stimulation and pleasure. I would say that anyone with a vagina could benefit from the exercises and anecdotes in this book. Schiftan portrays an understanding of arousal and stimulation that makes sense both in theory and in practice. This was a very interesting read and I definitely recommend it!… (mehr)
