With screenplay credits like “Married with Children,” “Head of the Class”, and “House Arrest,” it’s clear that despite being fired from several jobs, John Vorhaus has a gift for creating funny, irrepressible characters. With his latest novel The Texas Twist, the third book in the Radar Hoverlander series, John asks readers an intriguing question: What happens when a conman gets conned? Find out as Stephen Jay Schwartz, author of Boulevard, guest hosts and leads a Q&A. John Vorhaus also signs in San Diego on Friday 28 June 2013.

Before his foray into writing suspense novels, Stephen Jay Schwartz cut his teeth in the film and television industry, working on notable films such as “Air Force One,” “Outbreak,” “Bicentennial Man” and many, many more. Stephen’s first two novels, Boulevard and Beat, follow LAPD officer Hayden Glass as he battles the mean streets of LA, all the while tackling his own vices. On another note – if you are as excited as we are about Catalina Coffee Company joining forces with us, make sure to tell Stephen “thank you!” Stephen, who often writes at CCC’s original location, was the catalyst for bringing these two independent businesses together! We think it’s a match made in heaven! With Timothy Hallinan
