A superb review of the part played by Coastal Forces in the defence of the UK and the switch to offensive operations in the Channel and North Sea.

Plus there's the paintings and illustrations of course...

The eye of the wind von Sir Peter Markham Scott
What a lovely man, what a great life story (maybe not great literature but wonderful all the same). The boy who was to be sent to a school that valued nature and who refused to be dominated by his hero father's shadow became a less well known but more influential man - wildlife artist, war hero, champion sailor and glider but more importantly founder of the WWF and one of the first modern conservationists/environmentalists. A story that deserves to be better known and an inspiration to those of us who love birds and boats.… (mehr)
