Bloom is a colorful, beautiful and poetic picture book with a strong ecological message : once the ocean was full of sea creatures, but little jellyfish noticed things were changing. Little Red Riding Hood

I liked Little Red Riding Hood by Julia Seal for two reasons. First, I liked the fresh new illustrations that have surprising pop-up features on every two-page spread. This is awesome because as children turn each page, the characters come to life, which adds an extra dimension to the story. Second, I liked the facial expressions displayed on each character. Specifically, they help tell the story. For example, when the wolf tried to eat Little Red Riding Hood, her mouth is wide open, and it looks like she is screaming. This is an indicator that she is frightened. Overall, I believe the “big idea” of Little Red Riding Hood is to inform children to be aware of the people around them because some are different than they seem.… (mehr)
