There is a surprising amount in this comparatively slender volume. Serkis proves to be an insightful and intelligent analyst of his own technique. I found his discussion of the physical ‘entrance’ to the character through how he styled, grew or cut his hair to be most interesting. The general documentation of the creative process of digital motion capture with which he has now become synonymous is fascinating. It left me waiting with expectation for a longer autobiography later in his career. Anyone who has seen his other work (especially his portrayal of Bill Sikes in the 1999 TV mini-series) would expect would expect a great deal more wonderful acting and writing. This volume is not only a valuable addition to any actors shelf but also a fun read for the Ring film fan.… (mehr)
