I 'smooth read' this on Distributed Proofreaders for Project Gutenberg, and I'm a bit surprised that this book has seemingly slipped into oblivion (at least, it didn't show up when I searched Library Thing). The language is charming and alive; Ann, the 'writer' of the journal, is a fresh, modern and real-sounding young woman that one can relate to. There's nothing particularly surprising about the story, but it was a pleasure to read. Now I'm going to look for its predecessor, Annals of Ann, on Project Gutenberg :)… (mehr)
