Wow this was such a heartfelt read that was emotional and broke my heart only to put it back together again. Ash was struggling with his life, he spent it trying to help others find their happy that he put his own happiness on the back burner then it imploded. Set off by a series of events he hits rock bottom and with no way to go but up he left behind his life and set out to find himself and to get help. Taylor has known Ash her whole being best friends with his sister and been in love with him too. She grew up in a very strict Catholic home, so she denied her feelings for Ash out of Catholic guilt and Ash has loved her for so long but thought she was out of his reach. So, when she ends up on his doorstep needing his help, he doesn’t hesitate to open his doors to her. Ash has built a great life for himself especially getting the help he needed and if it weren’t for Larry his mentor he would be lost. Larry is a fantastic character, he took everyone under his wing, offered sage advice, and was there to help no matter what. He came off as a grump, but he was amazing while suffering himself. I don’t want to give too much of the story away because there are a few twists and turns but I was so happy that Ash found his Redemption and got Taylor while in the process of healing. This was truly a beautiful heartfelt story.… (mehr)

I loved this book; it was a quick and easy read, but it kept me entertained the whole time. One second, I was laughing so hard then the next James had me swooning so hard. James and Carrie meet in a very unconventional way when he saves her in a casino in Vegas being groped by a guy and James steps in the save her. Once she is saved her and James spend time together doing a scavenger hunt through Vegas and James being the ultimate gentleman and attracted to Carrie decides to help her, but they end up with more than they bargain for after a fun crazy night. Carrie wakes up alone to find out she is married but she doesn’t even know James’ last name. In a turn of events they are reunited, and things heat up again even if Carrie fights it hard. These two are funny and amazing characters and James is determined to keep her even if Carrie doesn’t think it’s a good idea, but can their pasts come back to haunt them and end things before they even get started?… (mehr)

This was an interesting read because not only is it a romance book, but it shows us readers that you can fight for your passion and go out and accomplish it. Kacey is the only female driver in a male predominant sport, every day she must fight to prove that she is just as good as they are, and she belongs there. I felt bad for her at times because the men were plain rude and misogynistic pigs and she only just wanted liv out her passion. G is a master mechanic and even though at times him and Kacey could butt heads, but he has he own demons to fight and they both love racing. These two had the passion and chemistry in spades but could they overcome their own issues to fight for what they want or are they both too stubborn to see what is right in front of them?
