Deborah Shepard

Deborah Shepard is an Auckland author, biographer and teacher of memoir, who was born and educated in Christchurch. Her recently published journal-memoir, Giving Yourself to Life: A Journal of Pain, Hope and Renewal, was launched in Auckland in February. In her first job, following a degree in Art mehr anzeigen History at Canterbury University, she worked for the Town Planning department at Christchurch City Council, compiling and researching the heritage buildings file. During that period she wrote three booklets on the Christchurch Normal School, Shands Emporium and McLean¿s Mansion.
