Why the f*** do people feel they have to write in some random tense? Third person present? Come on.

I barely tolerate 1st person past tense. I despise 1st person present but will sometimes force myself. I will tell you though that I've rarely read a book in first person present where the author hasn't made mistakes with the tense. And 3rd person present? Just no.

The synopsis sounded great but I'm not going to force myself.

I just finished this book today. At first I was confused by the writing style that's why I only gave it 4 stars. It read kind of like one of those hearing impaired commercials to me, then it found its voice and was quite entertaining! I liked each of the main characters they both had some quirks, I identified with the lady love a lot in her views which made reading the book pleasant to me. And who can complain about a pediatric plastic surgeon man hero I mean, really??! It just makes you want to weep. And the dancing, oh man I must say that was my absolute favourite moment I might re-read that particular portion of the book over and over again :) I wish the story line with Werner went another route though it started out exciting with him. Overall the book was awesome! I'll definitely be reading all of the rest in the series.… (mehr)

In Year Of Living Blonde, author Andrea Simone weaves an entertaining romantic tale set in Seattle that follows Natalie Anderson's year long journey of self-discovery.

What's a girl to do when her husband dumps her for an older woman? After Natalie's husband dumps her for an older woman, she decides to transform herself from a dumpy, plain, mousy brown haired woman into a sexy blonde woman whose ready to restart her life. While concentrating on expanding her bakery, La Dolce Vita, Natalie has an obstacle standing in her way, Anthony Novello, her handsome landlord ... that is until he notices Natalie's transformation, and an unexpected attraction develops between them. And just when Natalie thinks her new start can't get any more sweeter, her ex-husband is back in the picture to complicate things because he wants Natalie back, leaving her heart in a dilemma.

I couldn't help but get caught up in Natalie's story. I loved how she didn't give up after her husband left her. I admired her determination to pick up the pieces, transform herself, and restart her life on her own terms. I enjoyed the development of the relationship between Natalie and Anthony, especially their humorous banter and undeniable attraction. I found myself cheering them on, especially when Natalie's ex-husband reappears and throws a monkey wrench into their lives, when he makes it known that he is going to fight to win back Natalie's heart. The story is filled with enough drama, humor, emotion, and romance that easily keeps the reader engaged and wondering which man would win Natalie's heart.

With a realistic cast of characters; witty dialogue and dramatic interactions; a rich description of Seattle and its local landmarks; and an entertaining romantic storyline that engages the reader to follow along; Year Of Living Blonde is an enjoyable story about a woman's year long journey of self-discovery and search for true love and happiness.

Year Of Living Blonde is the first book in the Sweet Life in Seattle Series.

In Fire Down Below, author Andrea Simone weaves an entertaining and sexy romantic tale that follows the complicated romantic journey of thirty-five year old Kate Alexander, as she finds herself in a love triangle with two very different men who try to win her heart.

What's a girl to do when she gets caught in between an old love and discovering a new love? Right before her thirty-fifth birthday, Kate unexpectedly runs into the man who broke her heart, ex-fiance Ben Mathews. Ben wants a second chance with Kate, but is she willing to give her heart to him again ... especially when she has discovered that she has feelings for sexy Irishman Declan O'Connor, her longtime friend and boss.

From Seattle to Dublin, the reader follows Kate's complicated journey as she tries to decide whether to take a second chance with an old love, or give her heart to a new love who she is attracted to and desires.

I couldn't help but get caught up in Kate, Ben, and Declan's story. The story alternates seamlessly between Kate and Ben's past relationship with the present, and how Kate struggles with her conflicted feelings and being torn between an old and new love. The story is filled with enough raw emotion, drama, humor, and intimate romance scenes that easily keeps the reader engaged and wondering which man would win Kate's heart.

With a realistic cast of characters; witty dialogue and dramatic interactions; and a complicated romantic storyline that engages the reader to follow along and choose which man is the right one for Kate; Fire Down Below is a wonderful story about one woman's complicated journey towards making the right choice when searching for true love and happiness.
