A must read for anyone interested in John Adams, founding fathers or early U.S. history.
For anyone that wants a one volume bio on John Adams, they would be hard pressed to find better than David McCullough's John Adams. But, if you are intrigued by the life of this founding father, first vice-president and second president of the United States, find this two volume set by Page Smith. Sadly, it is out of print but if you have patience and look hard enough you can find a copy. It is well worth your time. This first volume takes you to the end of the Revolutionary war and the peace treaty.… (mehr)
