In Loving Hate by Lynette Sofras

After a failed marriage in Greece, Lyssa returns to her home in London. She finds that her mother, a once-celebrated actress, is now seriously in debt. When Lyssa begins to look more into this, she becomes involved in the business dealings of best friend Nell and her rival Alex. She is developing feelings towards Alex and his young son, Nicky. Soon Lyssa begins to uncover some unexpected and disturbing facts.

I Liked Lyssa, she is faced with so many decisions. She has her Mother's debt, her pending divorce, then she is torn when it comes to the issue of trust. There are a lot of secrets, loyalties are tested, and Lyssa doesn't know who to trust.

A well written story that kept me up late into the night. The characters are well developed. The plot is original with drama, suspense and secrets. Then add some romance and a nasty divorce making this the perfect all night read. I was so deep into the story that I did not know who to trust, up until the end. I could feel every emotion that Lyssa was felling.

I am a big fan of Lynette Sofras, and In Loving Hate did not disappoint. I highly recommend to those who love a great dramatic/romance. I look forward to reading more of Lynette's work.… (mehr)

The Apple Tree by Lynette Sofras

Doctor Juliet is trying to start a new life. She left her career and husband. Then she meets the mysterious "gardener", Nicholas. Things seem to go well with them, rather quickly. But Will she be able face her painful past in order for her to find true happiness.

Juliet has everyday problems, that she has to face. She is very likable, and at times questions herself. I liked that in her, it made her 'real". Nicholas is a bit flawed and he has issues he is coping with as well. Life is not easy for Juliet. she just wants to find her place and true happiness.

Overall I enjoyed this clean romance. The plot is original, the characters likable, the story moved swiftly. I recommend The Apple Tree to those who like a nice clean romance.… (mehr)

Wishful Thinking by Lynette Sofras

Jess and her young son escape a horrible accident and she meets Christian Goodchild, famous pop star. They are both attracted to each other. But Christian is in a complicated relationship. Jess doubts their love can survive in the complex world of a celebrity.

I really liked Jess, single Mother and devoted to her son. She takes a big chance when she gets involved with Christian. Is she strong enough to handle his celebrity lifestyle?

Christian is likable as well. He has a lot of "emotional baggage" add the fact he is a superstar. We he be able to face his demons and have a healthy, happy relationship with Jess?

A well written story with an original plot, likable character, equal amounts of drama, and romance. The story moves at an even pace, there were moments that are shocking, and heartfelt.

I enjoyed Wishful Thinking, a light romance that is NOT predictable. I was pulled in from the first page and could not stop reading until the last (page). I also like the cover art, it captures the story perfectly.… (mehr)
