She has to learn that she cannot just retreat to somewhere that is quiet, she has to find that place inside herself.

The perfect book for helping children to begin mindful meditation. This book helps kids to find the quiet place within, while being present in a noise, distracting world. Extra points for depicting a diverse population.

This would have been 10 times better with a page of information for adults regarding the subtext of the book itself - meditation/centering/finding that quiet place ...
