Really loved this take on a dystopian world. It was, however, shockingly terrifying! I'm definitely going to be giving the rest of the series a go, and would recommend you do as well, if you're a fan of dystopia and are looking for something new and fresh!
Pretty bummed that the end of this thing felt rushed and under-developed.

Didn't enjoy this one quite as much as the first, as I felt there was a lack of world-building, but I was still completely engaged with the characters and in the narrative. The pace of these first two installments so far has been phenomenal. Not a dull moment!

But the MC is a juvenile, judgemental, arrogant, and confrontational asshole and she is also TSTL.
All men are utterly stupid and sexist pigs on principle.
Everything in this book is in-your-face blunt but not in a humorous way but in a dense and stupid way.
And it's clearly not the MC being an unreliable narrator but the author's adventure wish-fulfillment.
Not to mention that every single bad and two-dimensional clichée out there can be found here too.… (mehr)
