The truth about Fox News is so appalling and depressing. They know they are lying, they see what it is doing to our country and they don't care. So hard for me to understand people like this, how do they live with themselves? Brian did a great job revealing the facts, its just so infuriating.

Brian Stelter provides a blow-by-blow account of what on inside Fox News during the critical period from 2020 - late 2023. He was able to take advantage of the internal Fox material that was released as a result of the Dominion lawsuit and the investigation of the January 6th committee. Although much had already appeared in news accounts, the account in this book provides significant additional details. In addition, it puts everything conveniently together in an easily understood timeline. Although it only came out about 18 months ago, it already seems outdated. We've heard and read SO MUCH about Fox and Trump that it gets boring to read it yet again. I stopped reading about 50% through. I simply did not want to read the same things again. Trump is a horror show. Fox News enabled him and those folks at Fox such as Hannity, Tucker, Laura, Bill, etc. were all in on it and did everything they could to help promote Trump's lies. I don't need 300 pages to know this.

My headline is not a shot at Mr. Stelter or his book. It is simply an honest assessment about a book that simply didn't need to be written. If, by November 2024, there is anyone in the United States of America who didn't know that Fox News lied and promoted the Big Lie (about the 2020 election), then that person must have been on the International Space Station. There is just nothing ground-breaking or newsworthy that would compel someone to spend $30 on a book that only reiterates facts that have been known since 2021 (or earlier)… (mehr)
