If you are looking for a great suspense thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat, then look no further. I couldn’t put this one down.

Carling can’t remember what happened. Life takes on a new direction because of the circumstances. Who was it that murdered her client and left her for dead? Who can she trust?

She turns to her ex-lover in hopes that he is on the up and up. However, she soon starts doubting even him.

This is one of those books that keeps you guessing right up until the end! I really loved that Carling was a tough woman who could take care of herself. There are too many times in books where the woman needs the man to come rescue her. That definitely isn’t the case here.

I've read the other books in this series but honestly I think this one would work as a standalone. Some of the background detail would be lost but otherwise this is quite a strong book in it's own right.

Eve St. Giles has a number of problems. First her sister has taken ill on holidays, then that illness turns into a terrible flu that takes out mostly women and then her ex Nick Petter turns up investigating. He's in the way of her investigation as an epidemiologist. Her extra senses and healing gift are both helping and getting in the way and she doesn't know enough about it to predict whether it's being right or wrong.

I really enjoyed this one, the balance of paranormal and normal was just right for me and I really will have to keep an eye out for more works by this author.… (mehr)
