A very readable history of Ed Iskenderian and his key contributions to hot rodding. This book goes all the way back to his pre-WWII teen years and the wild-west days of the post war up to today. Lots of black and white and color photos. This book provides very clear explanations of the hows and whys of Iskenderian's remarkable innovations. Great book for people who love fast cars.

Now this is a book to really go back in time. The history of hot rodding got my blood pumping and smiling. Very detailed and the awesome pictures, perfect.

For the most part I enjoyed the history or rodding from the perspective of Iskenfrian and team. As a seminal figure is the sport Iskenfrian deserves to be the star and he was. The history was interesting and the pictures were fantastic. I would have liked to have read more about his team and collaborators. Over all it kept my attention and was worth my time.

I've always been fascinated by cars, but have never really had the chance to learn about them. Isky is a really approachable book for beginners and seasoned car aficionados alike. It tells the story of Ed Iskenderian and his nearly 70 years of creating a company from scratch. The glossy pages and vibrant pictures are enough to reel you in, but the stories and little captions within the pages will keep you turning the pages. I really like how the book bounces from present day to back in the day, coupled with lots of nostalgic pictures like old advertisements and comics. I'd definitely recommend this book-it's easy to read, beautiful to look at, and not to spoil any details, but Isky's got one hell of good story!… (mehr)
