Kelly S. Thompson

Kelly and Meghan are sisters and are as close as sisters can be. Kelly is the youngest and more stable one with a good husband and a career in the armed forces. Meghan survived a childhood cancer and is more needy, impetuous, insecure and unstable. At some point she was a drug addict and was able to beat that. When she marries a guy named Bernard, things start to unravel. She becomes a victim of spousal abuse and has her first child Sam. When her second child Lily is born, cancer is discovered and Meghan has to fight several battles on different fronts. She gets tremendous support from Kelly and her parents who are going through their own health issues. Her relationship with Bernard deteriorates while her body is destroyed by the cancer…
The story is told by Kelly in a dialogue format. It’s an ok story and it cleanses Kelly of the guilt and trauma she experienced in caring for her sister, dealing with her abusive brother in law and then acting as the executor of Meghan’s estate.… (mehr)
