This book is excellent value for people who want to know what things were like inside Germany during WWII. The author writes succinctly and - in my view - well. It is a solid piece of work, good reference material. She takes care to provide suitable background to the events. I do not think that this needs any re-writing at all, though I did find it hard to get through because as a Jew I find the stories harrowing. My impression is that Ms Tiscenko manages to achieve a significant level of objectivity, for which I am grateful. Her English is precise and her words gtive the impression of being carefully chosen. An intelligent thoughtful author. Reading a borrowed copy, I am about to buy my own for research purposes.… (mehr)
