The proprietors, Nick (also a Christmas baby) and his sister embrace her, giving her a sense of peace that is missing with her own family. Add in a mysterious pseudo angel and everyone's lives are altered by the blizzard.

I won a copy of this novella from a blogger, although it was on my TBR list. Lucie Ulrich writes beautiful stories and this one is no exception. While maybe a little heavy on the clichés, I enjoyed reading The Starlight Inn and would highly recommend it.… (mehr)

Because she has a life, including an important business venture, waiting for her elsewhere, she doesn't plan on starting anything serious with Nick, the innkeeper she could fall for. But Tillie, a mysterious woman staying at the inn, seems to have other ideas for Ella and Nick in The Starlight Inn by author Lucie Ulrich.

Oh, my. What a lovely book cover: homey and Christmassy cold with bright, white lights woven in and shining through, and festive holly around the border for good measure.

The cover rightly set my expectations for this ChristFic holiday romance. It's a simple story, but not so simple as to be flat. The heroine's career dilemma is a believable one with a good backstory and more than one viable choice she can make for her future. While the ending may include a perfect fix or two too many for it not too feel like a fairy-tale wrap-up, the overall satisfaction is earned.

I quite enjoyed the two sittings I spent with this novella.… (mehr)
