Very good book for learning Hebrew. We used this in my college class the first two semesters and I felt I made great progress. Recommended.

Very straightforward, concise lessons in Hebrew that build upon each other and enable rapid learning. Also valuable for the conjugation charts and other grammatical references in each chapter. The format, however, is both a strength and a weakness; the exercises are effective, yet repetitive. And the reading samples can be a little dry. Best to supplement the book with another one that'll keep you awake.
