This is the story of Jason's roommate Sam, who plays a practical joke on Jason that involves Wolfgang, one of Sam's co-workers.

I enjoyed this story with it's humor and quick pace. The characters were well done with distinct personalities. However there were a couple elements in the story that really bugged me. The first big and I mean big one, was leaving Jason tied up and alone in the apartment. Never ever, ever, ever leave someone tied up alone. That is plain common sense. What if the person had a severe panic attack? An asthma attack? A heart attack or a seizure? Or if the place caught fire? Very poor element to put in the story, and not only that, it was done twice, the second time by the "Dom" who should have known better. Instead Wolf lets his feelings get involved and walks out before untying Jason. Not good. The other thing is that Wolf tended to ignore Jason's use of the safe word. Jason wasn't exactly using it at the end of the story because he was scared/upset, but Wolf still ignored the safe word. Another bad idea. So despite the fact that I enjoyed this story, I have to take off two stars for each bad idea. I give this story 3 stars… (mehr)

THREE & A HALF STARS--How's the story? Good but not great. The author did an excellent job portraying a more realistic version of a couple dealing with a survivor of such a dark act (Reed's unstable anger and social awkwardness, etc.) but then there were some meh moments. Overall a good read and I wasn't entirely upset with the ending. Plus once it was explained why Reed was the way he was, I overlooked his assholish ways...for the most part.

I enjoyed Bas a little bit more than Reed but I liked them as a couple.… (mehr)
