The last of humanity has taken refuge in hibernation at the poles, hiding from the giant invading insects that have conquered the Earth. Defending these outposts against bug attacks are genetically engineered dog soldiers, loyal and unquestioning to the Masters' voices in their heads. This book was provided to me by Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest reivew.

I tried to get into this I really did but I kept hitting walls. I loved the idea of the world and thought I would enjoy it but didn't find the language relatable and it kept forcing me out of the story. I cannot help but think this book would have benefitted greatly from me having a clear understanding of the world and had I had the information from the graphic novel I might have enjoyed it more...but no that would still leave the language. I am giving it two stars because I think fans of the already established series will enjoy it.… (mehr)
