Catherine M Walker

This is the first of a fantasy trilogy. The story is good, but it lacks a well-developed setting and some of the story development is heavy handed. I plan to read more in this series.

Path Of The Broken is a great addition to the series. I had questions in the previous volume regarding the motivations of some of the characters, but this book does not have such issues, and even provides some details explaining earlier actions. Walker has grown as a writer between the two books. I am expecting that to continue and I trust the ending to the series will be fantastic.
