A beautiful, richly illustrated tome, worthy of display on any sturdy coffee-table or bookshelf.
This book is a treasure trove of photographs and information! The photos are from a collection started in 1889 and used as picture postcards, there are over 300 photochrome images from all over the world, showing us what the world and the people travelling in it, were like back then. I wish I had the time to read every entry, maybe I've just found a good reason to get my own copy!
