Τι δε δίδαξε ο Βούδας: το οδοιπορικό ενός δυτικού σ'… von Ward Timothy
297/29-Εμπειρίες ενός επισκέπτη σε μοναστήρι βουδιστικό. Δε συνηθίζω να διαβάζω τέτοιου είδους βιβλία, αλλά από τα λίγα που κατάλαβα είναι πως για να γίνεις καλύτερος άνθρωπος πρέπει να απομονωθείς σε ένα μέρος χωρίς έγνοιες ( είτε αφορά σε χρήμα - δουλειά ) , είτε σε προσωπικό καλλωπισμό ( όλοι ντυνόμαστε και είμαστε με τον ίδιο τρόπο ). Χωρίς τις έγνοιες δεν υπάρχει και άγχος στη ζωή μας και ακολουθούμε ένα πρόγραμμα ρουτίνας. Ξύπνημα, καθάρισμα, προσευχή το οποίο επιφέρει ανία και η ανία σύμφωνα με τη διδασκαλία εξελίσσεται σε διαλογισμό. Ο ενδοιασμός του συγγραφέα είναι , γιατί δεν μπορούμε να το κάνουμε αυτό από μόνοι μας χωρίς την εποπτεία ενός μοναστηριού και στη συνέχεια αναρωτιέται γιατί χρειάζεται αυτά να συντηρούνται από ανθρώπους φτωχούς. Σ΄αυτό αν προσθέσουμε και το αρχηγό του μοναστηριού που άγεται και φέρεται ετοιμοθάνατος παρά την επιθυμία του να πεθάνει , με σκοπό τη συντήρηση των μοναστηριών καταλαβαίνουμε γιατί ο συγγραφέας τελικά αποχώρησε από το μοναστήρι , όπως και "δίδυμος" φίλος του που τα συνειδητοποίησε όλα αυτά νωρίτερα.… (mehr)
