Phil Washburn

This book is condescending, simplistic, boring, and all too frequently not quite right. I only regret that his discussion of what "theory" means came so late in the book (page 179), because by that time I feel I have invested too much in a book to abort it, so I slogged through. I do recommend starting with page 179, so if you care about accuracy in these sorts of things, you can get immediately to the abort point, when the things before may just be mildly annoying and boring. I will not be recommending this one to my students.… (mehr)
