this was a very easy and calming read. There seemed to me to be very little happening in this book. Although the story line had a beginning middle and end there was much that happenined before the start and the ending seemed a little vaigue, but this is how life really is and this went will with the feeling of reality that this book had.
The characters were in many ways a little bland, there were no real villians and no heros, again this is very true to life.
I did think that this was a good vision of what a modern family is like, with the children being between two parent and the addition of step parent. I hate this constant portrayel of step parents as the enemy of the family and it was good to see them as people who are just doing the best that they can.
